Obamacare Vote an Albatross for Sen. Nelson

Nebraska Democratic Senator Ben Nelson's approval rating has dived to 42 percent since his vote for Obamacare. Worse, 48 percent of voters in Nebraska disapprove of Nelson, and 44 percent say that his support for Obamacare will count against him if he runs for re-election in 2012. (Omaha World-Herald poll of 500 registered voters taken January 8-12, MoE +/- 4.4%).

A SurveyUSA poll from April 2006 had Nelson's approval rating at 73 percent, the highest of any member of the Senate. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

For comparison, the other Senator from Nebraska, Republican Mike Johanns, has a 63 percent approval rating. Johanns voted against Obamacare.
